LaCie has added a new portable hard drive to their range, with the launch of the LaCie Rugged XL external hard drive.

The LaCie Rugged XL features an aluminum chassis, and is protected by a shock resistant rubber sleeve, it also has internal anti shock bumpers to ensure the hard drive is protected. The Rugged XL supports both USB 2.0 and eSATA 3Gb/s high speed interfaces. It has an aluminum casing and orange rubber sleeve for protection. The Lacie Rugged XL offers 1TB of USB/eSATA storage.
LaCie’s Rugged XL includes an internal bumper and heat dissipating features so it can withstand the challenges and blunders that can occur on anyone’s desk. With 1TB capacity, the Rugged XL is priced at $159.99.
